Thinking Green

Here at Jones Corporate we recognise that we have both an ethical and regulatory responsibility to the environment. We are committed to being environmentally aware and strive to apply green thinking to our actions and processes wherever possible, as outlined in our Environmental Sustainability Policy.

Our green goals

Reducing our carbon footprint

Paperless
We have adopted a paperless approach to our administration and operation processes. Utilising online cloud storage and mobile applications we strive to reduce our physical paperwork requirements whilst remaining organised, compliant and auditable.

Fleet maintenance
Delivering a nationwide service means we inevitably cover a lot of road miles. We will ensure our fleet of vehicles meet the latest EURO6 regulations, alongside regular servicing and maintenance schedules.

Eco-Miles
We have teamed up with our fuel card provider to support the WeForest project. WeForest works with communities, local organisations and NGOs to develop scalable reforestation projects across the globe, growing trees, restoring ecosystems and demonstrating how it is possible to mobilise communities and restore degraded soils.

Logistics
Wherever possible, we will try to reduce the need to repeat journeys by utilising vehicle tracking and working closely with our clients to ensure robust diary scheduling.

Responsible sourcing

Our main material suppliers are all committed to minimising their impact on the environment: Travis Perkins | Edmundsons | Screwfix | Dulux | Howdens | Longridge Timber
We will work with our suppliers to ensure all our timber is both of a high structural grade as well as sourced from well managed, sustainable forest schemes and supplied by FSC or PEFC accredited organisations.

Recycling

All our waste skips are provided by two national waste management companies. Ensuring generated waste is handled in an environmentally responsible manner.

In 2019 we produced 25.5 tonnes of waste, 98% was diverted from landfill.

Recycling Lives is a waste management and recycling business which operates a unique model, combining business and charity. Committed to creating demonstrable and measurable social value through their own social and charity programmes, focussing on job creation, offender rehabilitation, tackling homelessness and food redistribution.

SafeContractor Accredited

We have been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for meeting the recommended standard in health and safety in the workplace.

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading accreditation scheme which recognises rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors and is used by thousands of organisations across the UK.

Our application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by our wish to implement a uniform standard across the business. SafeContractor will further improve the company’s ability to win new contracts, and reassure our staff members, clients and members of the public that Jones Corporate FM is committed to working safely.

Mark Jones, our managing director said: “We are extremely happy to have gained SafeContractor. Our clients already know the company’s health and safety reputation, this accreditation simply reinforces our standards. ”
